Grounded in evidence-based dentistry, it highlights how advances in adhesive protocols and ultra-thin ceramic materials allow clinicians to achieve significant aesthetic improvements while preserving enamel. By minimizing or eliminating tooth reduction, practitioners can enhance bond strength, longevity, patient comfort, and biological integrity—demonstrating how small, intentional sacrifices can lead to superior restorative and aesthetic outcomes.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Surendar S., MDS is a micro-endodontist and restorative dentist with a strong focus on biomimetic and minimally invasive dentistry. He currently serves as Chief Clinical Fellow at the APA Aesthetics Suite, New York University, where he is actively involved in advanced clinical care and education. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, a QS-23 ranked university in India. Dr. Surendar is a Research Assistant working alongside Dr. Ronaldo Hirata, contributing to multiple clinical trials that evaluate next-generation injectable biomaterials. His research centers on the survival and longevity of minimal- to no-preparation biomimetic restorations, with a particular emphasis on Digital Smile Design and evidence-based restorative protocols. An alumnus of the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai (2012), Dr. Surendar completed his postgraduate training in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Saveetha Dental College. During his residency, he received several prestigious accolades, including Case of the Year (2017) from the Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Best Scientific Presentation at the IADR Asia Pacific Region (2017), and First Prize for the Multilayering Restorative Technique sponsored by 3M ESPE, Europe (2017). An accomplished clinician, Dr. Surendar has performed over 1,000 micro-endodontic procedures using Carl Zeiss operating microscopes and advanced rotary systems. He is a 3T Certified Trainer in Microscopic Endodontics and a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Dentsply Sirona, USA. He is an active member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), IACDE, IADR, and CEAT. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Surendar is passionate about photography and content creation, using visual storytelling as a tool for education and clinical communication.
